To Sleep (2007)
"Back in my late years of high school and early years of college, I was entranced, as so many young composers often are, by the music of modern-day 'pop-choral' festival music composers. Cluster chords, added 2nds, and a preoccupation with the IV chord were the basis of my musical language. Most of my music from this period I don't consider performance worthy. However, a couple of pieces have remained with me as some of my favorite compositions. 'To Sleep,' a setting of text by Keats, is amongst these. While not yet ready for performance or publishing, I have been working to revise this piece and hopefully hear it performed in the next couple of years."
